Details of major areas of Research, Development, Information, Training and Extension Focus and List of Projects while engaged as FAO/RAP Industrial Crops Officer, Bangkok, Thailand. This is an outline of the FAO work plan entities, outputs and thematic areas and projects with which I was involved while working with FAO.

Eight key, thematic areas for development for high value industrial and horticultural crops for Asia/Pacific Region.

Six Major FAO Projects formulated, concluded or being implemented: four on coffee quality improvement, two on Coconut Brontispa Beetle, one on Sweet Sorghum for Food, Feed, Fuel and Fibre, concluded.

IPM of coconut hispid beetle (Brontispa sp.) in the Maldives at a cost of USD200,000.

Two large projects implemented or being implemented with technical input from me in planning and design (one on Horticulture, another on Oil Seeds).

Fifteen projects formulated with technical inputs from me awaiting funding or approval for implementation.

Twenty-seven smaller project initiatives, studies, publications, meetings, seminars etc., Virgin Coconut Oil Development, Coconut Brontispa Beetle control in thailand, Lao and Cambodia, pepper quality Improvement and processing, pepper guide, coffee manuals, sweet sorghum manuals, books on fruits, etc., funded and implemented.
